CHALLENGE
Pick It Up 40 is a non-profit beach cleanup group based in the South West of France in the 40th District. The group is run by volunteers and hosts routine beach clean ups, educational events, and community gatherings. After volunteering for sometime, I was asked to create a new logo and social media icons for the instagram.
PROCESS
I wanted to create a logo that incorporated the ocean and also the love of the community that cares for it. I designed the logo to have a wave fitting into a heart and included the group's tagline "Les Amoureux du Front de Mer" which translates to "The Lovers of the Shoreline". For the social media icons, it was requested that I create simple, illustrated nautical icons to use as instagram story covers. I drew the icons using the ProCreate professional illustration app on an Ipad Pro.
